Characteristics

Masted Assembly has developed an indexing table family after hundreds of applications and process experiences with our own transfer machines. These tables are all based in the HIRTH ring technology and their main features are the high rigidity and the great indexation repeatability.

The Masted Assembly indexing table family is organized into 3 main branches depending on their drive system and their blocking system:

  • 2 ring rotary tables with pneumatic or hydraulic drive: they are the simplest but, at the same time, the easiest to integrate and operate. They can turn at fix intervals or with pendular movement.
  • 2 ring rotary tables with electric CNC servodrive: To the characteristics above, they add improved dynamics in the turning movement to carry bigger inertia and the posibility to combine non repetitive turns or different positions in a single cycle.
  • 3 ring rotary tables with electric CNC servodrive: These ones achieve the same indexation accuracy but they allow very short indexation times due to the drive mechanism robustness and to that they do not need to lift the load during the blocking process. They are the first choice for machines with very short cycle times that also require high rigidity and indexation accuracy.

Additionally to the tables, Masted Assembly offers optional devices for the tables such as rotary joints for conducting energies to the tabletop, planetary tables mounted on a large rotary table and other special devices under request. Please contact us to know more.
